Are you asking how to convert a mass air system to speed density? If so, what's the project and forgive me for asking but, why would you want to do that?
i want to put a k&N filter
JEGS High Performance - K&N GM TPI Throttle Body Chrome Cone Air Filter
on my 85 iroc, i fabricated a new ram air induction front the front grille and this is the last piece for my intake, than comes tb, plenum, runners, cam, heads, and header dumps. and o yea, i just need the tb plate for my nitrous setup.

The filter in the pic is designed to bolt directly onto the throttle body of a speed density system. Unless you convert to speed density, you must keep the mass air sensor in the air induction system. Converting to speed density involves the replacement of a few major components that are very sensitive to future modifications. If you just want a cool looking air filter, keep the mass air system / sensor and custom fabricate your own cold air intake. You could use the filter in the pic, but it wont be directly bolted to the throttle body.
