tpi sending unit

i switched my tbi 305 for a 383tpi.I removed the fuel tank to change the fuel pump. The metal tube(sending unit)was bigger than the outlet on my tpi fuel pump.'It was the same size as the throttlebody fuel pump outlet"Ill get to the point is the tpi sending unit diffrent then the throttlebody sending unit? I tried using it and the hose to the pump split.Anyone know for sure if there is a diffrence?

Instead of using a hose, you could try a factory pulsation damper to connect the pump. They damper is a lot more flexible, and may stretch over the larger diameter tubing without splitting.
