Fuel Pressure Question, wierd noise

I installed a Walbro 255 fuel pump. Also a crane cams adjustable Pressure Regulator. When I turn the key I hear the pump come on. When I turn the engine over and not start it I here a hissing. Its not a leak, it sounds like excess pressure being released into the plenum.

Is this whats happening?? If not, what is it?

Make sure you didnt tear the FP diaphragm when u installed it and that it actually sealed to the regulator base.

Also did u reconnect the vacuum line?

The Walbro will be louder than stock sounding both at the rear of the car and at the fuel rail.

later
