what exactly will the vats system do will it disable the starter or disable fuel pump or injectors just for the sake of knowing

It doesn't disable the starter, but I not sure if it effects the or the injectors. I would guess the injectors as the pump primes before you start actually cranking the car.

in my experience it only disables the injectors. but people here will say it disables both the starter and the injectors. im not saying that theyre wrong i just havent experienced both.

i believe they started using the starter disable in 1990.
the VATS, when activated shuts down injector pulse on both systems.
