Trouble adjusting TPS, please advise...

Brand new TPS, brand new bolts... When im putting it in, im trying to adjust it using a DMM (i dont have a scanner), and its reading .47 volts. Thats the max i can get it to show, with the sensor rocked all the way to one side of the adjustment zone. Also, in this position, it falls short of 4 volts at WOT.

Whats the deal with this? What else can i adjust to get it in to the acceptable range?

do you have a full 5v ref? check the ground wire as well as the signal wire.

is the sensor one with the slots where the screws go? (some have just the two round holes vs the slots that allow you to move the sensor alot) the other possiablilty is that the tab on the sensor is bent. can you read the full range if you hold the sensor in your hand and move the lever?

My new TB came with a sensor like that. Two holes...no adjustment. I took a small drill that was just a bit larger than the existing holes and hand drilled the holes out so I had some adjustment. I had no problems getting the .56 I was looking for.
