Internal leak?

Okay.. I have no idea. All i know is that the engine runs perfectly in idle and when at a stand still in drive.

Wants I start driving there is allot of hesitation... i can still bring it up to hwy speeds but something is wrong. I pulled all plugs and they were okay. I know one cylinder has about 20 psi less than the rest

What could it be? I even checked the wires.. Noticed that the one did not click onto the plug but is still in place....

Does a lose fitting on a plug cause hesitation?

I removed the distributor cap and it looked fine. There is some play in the rotor.. is that normal? I can kind of rotat slightly clockwise and anticlockwise.

The coil is the same since 88 probably.

Anyone been in the same boat or knows what it could be?

Thanks

Is your check engine light on? If so that will ussually mean it's a sensor rather than something mechanical. It it is, try jumping the two terminals at the top right with a paperclip or something and you'll get the codes to flash on the light.

Thanks,

I did not check pressure yet BUT I located 2 plug wires that were melted through the insulation down to the core hehe. I replaced those ...runs much better but not perfect. I guess it would be a good idea to change the rest too.

Quick question.

Could a wire be bad even if i cant see much damage on it?

Thanks,

Sam,
