on an 88 350 where does the tube from the egr to the back of the engine go?

 

TO the EGR solenoid that should be located to the right of your distributor. One vac hose runs from the EGR valve to the solenoid and the other to the vacuum source which should be a nipple under the left hand side of the throttle body. The solenoid also has an electrical connector on the back.

I hate it when you post and no one answers. You think you could get answers around here but many have forgetten that they too needed this information a long time ago. I too am just starting out learning "all things Camaro".
