Low to Mid RPM stutter
Well after my engine swap from a L03 to a modified 350 TPI I'm having a but of trouble. Engine runs very strong in the upper RPMS 2500-6000. Also Idles very well 600-1800. But, in the 1800-2400 RPM range it stutters real bad. Tach jumps up constantly, and the cars jerk a bit. I have a tuned chip from PCMforless, I KNOW, never by mail order chips but I was in a hurry to get it running, and I can't even datalog with Tunerpro. I have larger injectors and World heads, etc., and though the chip would at least get my running which it did. Now if I could just get a datalog session to record I would be on my way to getting this fixed. Does this sound like a spark issue to anyone??? Oh yeah I'm running Speed Density setup.

That's an ignition problem, definitely. Could be arcing wires, cracked spark plugs, bad module, you name it. Look for burnt wires first.

brand new plug wires, new cap and rotor, new distributor, new plugs, but I did use my old external coil from my 305. But if it were one of these wouldn't it be a constant stutter? Through the whole rpm range I mean?? I can get to to smooth out at higher rpms.
