Aluminum Oxide Grinding bit to port plenum?
Will this work at all, or do I need to find a carbide cutting bit?
Well, if you want to take 2 years doing it.
And risk clogging all the pours in the stone so that when it heats up (from grinding) it explodes.....
They are only good for AL and short term smoothing etc.
Carbid bits-
Warning- this can be like going to Costco/Sam's Club.
MSC Industrial Supply Co. $18 - $20 plus S&H.
Get one for AL and it will almost go through it like butter with a dull knife.
The ones for steel plug up and you'll spend more time cleaning them than grinding. btdt!
You can order cartridge rolls etc too so you can smooth/polish whatever.
