I have a L98 350 TPI that has clearly seen its better days ... its making a few noises and just doesn't cut it no more ... sooo with this said ..

I've yet to contact some engine shops/machine shops for info on pricing and what not, I'm looking at this summit racing rebuild kit .. 383 stroker kit for just under $1100 ... I have around 2k to work with and looking at this kit for the rebuild ... I'd imagine the cam's gonna need to be replaced to allow longer stroke ... i'm no gear head so any comments, negative or good i'll consider ... i'm looking for a serious bump in power while i go about this rebuild ... i've heard great things about stroker kits ... now, like i said earlier i haven't contacted places yet on labor and machining ... would this kit along with custom machining give me the 350-400hp or am i falling short on hoping i could get the punch for that kinda price ... seriously looking for all options and considerations ... its need a rebuild .. where to go from there, i'm not sure ...

 

Put your money into cylinder heads and a cam not a stroker if you can't afford both.
