A Theoretical Idea...
My friend Ed just got back off leave and he met a guy at home that builds custom engine harnesses who told him about an interesting idea he is fooling with. What do you guys think of this:
Take a TPI 305/350. Get the wiring harness and ECM out of a 96-98 Vortec V8 truck engine. Get the ECM reprogrammed to now have the stock specs for TPI in it, or whatever specs you desire. Install it.
You name have an SFI, OBD-II TPI setup.
Hmmm....sounds like something I may be into. You can get some nice benefits from this swap. And the Vortec motors were MAF, so they have the provisions to accept a MAF TPI setup; dunno about speed density.
