Ram air + MAF

I was looking at the ram air box from hawk's

Camaro/Firebird 82-92 Ram Air Hood AIR BOX (TPI cars only) - HT-airbox

and it looks like theres a MAF sensor there, however when I emailed them they said it was for SD systems only.

are my eyes deceiving me? is that a MAF in the picture or part of the air box?

Well, it's probably a simple tube, but, depending on the length, I don't see why a MAF couldn't be used. The MAF might be shorter than that tube, therefore requiring a super short tube to fill in the gap. Dunno. Longer rubber/hose connections might fill the gap. Depends on the lengths, I suppose.
