TPI swap? How much lighter will my wallet be and how hard is it going from tbi?

How much would a tpi swap run me assuming I could get it from a junkyard? What all would I need?

Is it difficult?

Is the tuning easier then the tbi computers?

Tuning is tuning, doesnt matter what ecm, some have more variables , other than that its time.

The cost involved will simply depend on how cheap and how complete a setup that you buy in the first place for the conversion.

If you shop, you should be able to get an intake with sensors/ecm/harness for $300 or so.

If u do that, you have everythign u need.

Several writeups here on it, rather simple conversion. Hardest part will be finding the wires you will need to splice to make all your guages work in your application.

I know you probably won't know but is tpi cleaner then tbi? I have to stay with CA smog. It would be on an 88 chevy blazer with a 350 tbi motor.

Putting a TPI under the hood of a Blazer enters the red tape area since they never came with TPI. You'd have to go to the referee, not something you really want to do.

I'd try to find a donor car if you're not real sure what you need, or you might get nickel and dimed to death. But the intake manifold up, including the harness, all sensors and relays, fuel pump, and the computer will be a minimum of what you need.
