the small yellow line that i traced over that wire, i need to know what is SUPPOSED to be there. if i cut that red wire, my radiator fans do NOT work. i know there is supposed to be some kind of FUSIBLE link or something, but i have NOTHING there, i just have that orange wire coming out, connected to the red wire, then the red wire connects to a thicker guage wire later on...... can someone help me out, please...... thanks

this is on a 1989 firebird formula 305 TPI car with STOCK wiring setup

 

If I remember correctly the orange wire is the fusible link. Just run a separate wire to the battery with a fusible link.

 

what amp fuse though??
