Bad injectors, or ?????

85 trans am with 305tpi that has been in storage for the last 12 years. Decided to finally start driving it again, but no such luck. Car turns over fine, but won't start. Checked fuel, pressure, new plugs, injector harness fine, but it won't start. Checked ohms on all injectors, and they are all at 0 ohms including the CS injector. Is it possible that all the injectors could have gone bad after sitting that long, or could it be something else?

The injectors should be about 16 or 17 ohms. Check them again, when I checked mine it took a while to get anything but 0 as a reading. Also, with a car that has been sitting for 12 years, it would be a good idea to drain the gas tank and change the fuel filter, and try starting it with fresh gas.

Thanks for the reply bud. You were right, I rubbed the ohmmeter tips into the injector tabs, and got a proper reading. They are all at 16.7-16.8 ohms. Found a crack in the vaccuum line that comes from the regulator. I'll fix that, and get a new filter and gas to see if it will fire up.

The injector ohm readings sound good. When you first turn the key to the "run" postion, can you hear the fuel pump priming, if not, you might want to clean the grounds. After getting the fuel system sorted, pull the distributor cap and check it and the rotor for corrosion. Also, the insulation on the plug wires may be bad, even though they look fine. To check the wires, spray them with a little bit of water, and try cranking the engine. If you do this in the dark, you'll see little sparks jumping from wire to wire if the wires are bad. Let me know how it goes.

TPeye, your the man!!! I drained out all the gas in it, and replaced it with new 94octane Sunoco as well as a new fuel filter. Changed the plugs again (just in case as they were wet with gas after trying to start it all week), and tried it again. To me suprise, it fire up on the second try!!!!! I had originally removed some gas from the fuel rail, and poured it on the ground to see if it would burn. It did, so I was conviced it was still good. Obviously it wasn't as the new gas did the trick. Thanks a million for the help bud.
