****...well since i need a new ring and pinion

Well unfortunately after tearing the rearend apart and fixing the pinion depth and shimming it correctly, the howling has not stopped. It looks like i need a new ring and pinion set. Now ive got 3.73s..should i stick with them or should i ditch em for 3.42s? or even 3.23s? I know the tpi cars dont benefit much from what ive heard from 3.73s and that sticking to relatively stock gears is better?..any truth to that?

I like my 3.73's. Its an awsome all around gear for my TPI. Its nice with the 4 speed transmission. Plus it pulls really hard from a dead stop. If you do a 1/4 mile at the track...the 3.73 is perfect because it still alows you to be in 3rd gear at the end of the 1/4 mile.
But, I do like mine.
