if I get a new Vortec 350

if I get a brand new Vortec 350 longblock, I see SD makes these new TPI intakes, can I use this to bolt my stock 305 TPI to a newer Vortec 350?? Not looking for major power increases, just mild driver.

yea that will work good, but you'll need some parts for that 350.
you'll need 22# injectors, L98 or LT4 knock sencor, ESC module for a 350, and of course a new prom burned.

I'd get a Holley Stealth Ram before I'd buy a $400 TPI base plate.

yea but a Stealtthram is like $1200+ and this is for a street daily car, don't need huge power.

So the TPI will work fine with the Vortec 350, just a few mods, knock sensor varies and maybe burn a new chip? What's a stock 305 injector size??

19# for a 305, 22# for a 350.

Vortec 4.3/305/350 used injectors rated at 19# @ 43.5 psi, but ran them at 60 psi for 24#.

I didnt know this, My buddies got a 89 GTA with a 350....we used to run the same Fuel pressure (Mine being a 305, his being a 350). Now its different now that I have 24# injectors after I redid everything on my car. But he was never close to 60 PSI on his 22#injectors. I actually advanced his timing a couple degrees, and turned up his fuel pressure to 48psi. His car runs fine. But, it was nowhere close to 60psi for a stock setting.

Huh?!? I paid less than $600 for converting from TPI to the Holley Stealth Ram.

When did the Holley Stealth Ram become $1200+? Think you thinking of the SuperRam.

The rest of the TPI intake should bolt up fine and you could probably keep your injectors with a burnt prom if you can get into chip burning.

I think for a daily driven car a tpi setup will be more fun. dont get me wrong the stealth ram is beter at makeing more hp, but the TPIs low end grunt is just too fun for a street car.

so far I'm still leaning towards a stock Vortec 350, the SD manifold and stock TPI, or heck with it, Vortec 350, Hotcam and RPM intake and Holley carb.
