Car: 1992 trans am
Engine: 305 tpi
305-350 swap??'s
i blew my motor in my 1992 trans am beat rod bearing, and my neighbor has a 350 out of a van it was a tbi motor can i just rebuild the bottom end of that and throw the 305tpi top end on it heads and up? the main question i have is what year bottom ends can I put my tpi top end on? is it like 1987 and up? i need to know.

sorry forgot to put that it's an 1989 350 tbi motor. and will i need to change any of the computer stuff in order for the swap to work? what is everything that i need to change? and will i need to change anything else, i know the injectors but what else?

you can keep the heads for your 305 on if you wish, iam not sure witch one would flow better. the 305 heads have smaller combustion chambers, which will give you more compresstion. but yes injectors, knock sensor, and ESC module.

what is the ecm module? and can i buy a new ecm module and a new knock sensor? i was going to rebuild the 350 and throw a decent cam in it also what is the size of the compression chamber on the 305 heads? and what is the biggest lift cam can i put in the 350 with the 305 heads?
