1990 L98 supertune questions - egr, pressure reg, injectors

This is a 90 formula 350 thats stock but for hollow cats and flowmaster cat back. Just got the car and I need to change the egr valve to fix a code 32. I'm also going to modify the fuel pressure reg to be adjustable while I'm under there and put in a 255 pump. Should I replace the injectors too? Its got 111k on it. Also I was thinking it may be better to get a chip that eliminates the egr and smog because I am not sure if hollow cats will cause any ses lights, and the car would probably run better since it wont alter timing for the egr system etc. Right now the car pings under lower rpm load over 1/2 throttle (in 3rd and 4th I noticed it) and it looses power the more I gas it till it downshifts and then its fine. WOT there is no prob but the timing is messed because there is no EGR working. Just need advice to get this running the best.

Just pulled the plenum and checked out the egr valve, everything is working fine. Ported the plenum behind the butterflies and cleaned all egr ports and put it all back together. Found the timing was at -2 with the brown wire off. set that to 8 and now it runs a hell of a lot better! Burns them all the way through first from a dead stop so thats better!! still getting a code 32 so I'm going get into chip burning.
