383 injectors

Hello, I recently built a 383 for my 88 IROC. Nothing crazy, I wanted it to be driveable but with a little more up and go. I have a .510 GM roller cam, ported iron heads, ported upper plenum, 52 mm throttle body, headers, flowmaster exhaust, no cat, evap or A.I.R pump. The motor has 9-1 compression. What size injectors would you recommend? I don't need it to be a ***** out car but a fun daily driver. After I purchase the injectors, I am going to get a custom prom. I am also going to use Ford injectors I just don't know what size to use. Any help would be appreciated. I also have an ACCELL 300+ ignition and any sugestions on timing would be helpful as well.

Ford SVO 30 lbs. will due just fine for your set up, but I think even for a mild set-up your compression is a little low 10:1 is better for that cam. Make sure you get a new fuel pump also, like a Walbro 255 high pressure pump PN GSS340M and not PN GSS307M which is the high volume one.You can them here

Thanks for the tip. Would the 30 lb injectors be overkill for a smooth idle? Also what fuel pressure would you recommend? I will get that pump that was recommended. I figured a big injector like that would dump excess fuel during idle. But if others out there have had good results with those injectors, then thats the way I will go. Thanks again. Oh, yeah, any recomendations for custom proms? I was going to use fastchip.

I would think a set of the "28" pound LS1 injectors would suffice for that setup. You have to run 4 bars of fuel pressure to get the actual rated flow but they should do everything you need and be avaliable at a great price.

My 395 stroker runs darn good with 24# Ford injectors at 52psi. However, I am thinking of replacing my SR with the HSR and run this setup with a home made MAF sensor that is 3.5" in OD. Then I beleive that I will run out of fuel, and go with the 30s. Given the above, 24s at 50 to 54psi fuel pressure should provide enough fuel. However, You may need a much better fuel pump.

In any case, it would be best to burn a chip for your setup.
