Removing TPI motor completely...
I'm removing the whole TPI motor in my IROC. Going with it is the computer and the harness. As far as the harness is concerned.. do I really have to remove the dash and what not to get the whole thing out? Seems like it right now! oh well. let me know.

A lot of the wiring is bundled together so removing the whole harness would get complicated. I'd pull the computer, remove the EFI related wiring under the hood and leave the rest, won't hurt anything and doesn't weigh a lot either. Nice thing about the 86 is that the gauge wiring and sensors are separate and the speedometer is cable.
no, just pull down the lower cover on the passenger side where the ECM is, pull that down and unplug it. Then remove the Kick panel in the corner, disconnect the clip, have someone pull the harness up, while you feed it through the body ....
