Factory Air Intake Assembly
How restrictive is the factory air intake assembly. I am swapping in a 305 TPI in my 89 and I can get one for about $ 35 (used).
Should I pick this up or fab one out of abs plastic from Home Depot?
What's the best bang for my buck......

If you are talking about a factory 305 TPI, then the factory air inlet system is fine. Buy the used one, if this is the one with twin air filters.
Then, I would make one yourself and see if you can make an improvement. We are not talking about alot a money.
