K+N filter on SD TB question?
Those of you running a K+N filter direct on the TB in speed density apps , how do you go about getting clearance to plug in the TPS plug?
With the filter on the TB is less than 1/2 " between TPS (where the wiring plugs in ) and the rear of the filter

I used to have a K&N filter right on the throttle body and there was no clearance problems. I think the part number was a 5001?

thanx for replys.
Can not find any # on the filter , bought of a Forum member less box.Appears identical to RC 5000.
Lip where hose clip mounts is only big enough for clip , not allowing enough room for plug.
See (dialup beware )

Is worse on BBK on account of the TB lip being shorter than stock TB.
May have to fab a adapter to move filter further out to gain plug clearance.

You should build your own CAI setup. Your sucking in all kinds of hot air by mounting the air filter to the TB.

I am of sorts.
Am being naughty and cutting hood of my Vette
( big no no in Vette world) to clear HSR on race 383
Have pro stock type forward facing scoop for HSR clearance and air intake so intend to form alum box under K&N so only draws cool outside air in.
Vette's are worse than F bodies when it comes to getting cool air in.
My street Vette , stock 350TPI w ZZ4 cam will run 12.9 in sub 75F temps,13.2 or worse if over 85F
