I have just purchased a plenum without the small passage between the 2 throttlebody holes. I also have non cold start SLP runners i wanted to install with this. The problem is that i have an 88 throttle body with IAC, will this plenum work?

With some machine work or maybe just drill a hole. The IAC won't work otherwise.

 

i am 90% sure the middle hole was for air to the 9th injector - not the iac. How do th eiac's on the 89-90's work with that hole plugged?

 

The 9th injector already gets all the air it needs. The IAC uses this passage to keep the motor idling, no air, no idle. Otherwise use the ******* idea of a brick.

 

there is no passage behind the tb plate - if i drill a hole it would go straight into the plenum - does anyone have a picture of a plenum with the passage?
