are you using the stock heads is the first question...
are you sure the rockers are compatible with center bolt valve covers is the second question...

The valve overs will easily handle the .500 lift. I ran .535" lift with no problems. I'm sure they can handle even more lift.

I have never heard that the valve covers interfer with valve lift,,, however, the size of the rockers do interfer with the metal baffles inside the valve covers. I had to cut out a few of these baffles. I did this 10 years ago, to I cant give you any details, but its easy to figure out what needs trimming.
