motor dies when full throttle
motor dies when full throttle
I have an 88 GTA with the 5.0. the motor runs perfect at idle and if I gradually increase the throttle. If I go full throttle from idle the motor will die. If I spray starting fluid in the throttle body as I go full throttle, the motor does fine. Fuel pressure is at 45 psi. I changed the TPS, ecm, MAF and have no codes. All sensors are in operating range as I have hooked up my scanner. If I go partial throttle, say 20%, then go full throttle, it does fine. Please, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

also, what does the fuel pressure do when go full throttle?
hows the fuel filter?

plugs, wires, rotor, cap, fuel filter are all new. the fuel pressure never drops below 40 at any time. The car has sat for several months before I got it. The plugs wires rotor and cap were completely corroded. I have not changed the coil because I really think it is a fuel problem as when I give it a shot of starting fluid as i go fulll throttle, it revs fine.
