which runners

Right now i have my motor tore down and am debating if i should put my slp big mouth runners back on or the stock ones back. Anyone else try the slp runners and not really satisfied with them? or satisfied ? It seems like my motor was alittle more stronger with the stock

Unless you've ported the plenum and base to match the SLP runners, they will do very little for your performance.

No aftermarket runners will do a whole lot on a stock motor. Ya might notice a little difference, but certainly nothing huge. The benefit comes once you have an aftermarket intake manifold and ported plenum....

...and of course, good heads help too.

I think the ASM / TPIS runners are supposedly the best in off the shelf performance, but the SLPs can be ported since they're cast. Once ported, you can do a LOT with the SLPs.

Don't give up on 'em just yet.

...unless ya wanna sell 'em.....

to me

i have just bought the slp runners. i havent put them on yet as im waiting for an e-prom chip to arrive and i want to do a couple of races before i put them on so i can compare them later in the year. i have a 350 tpi, ive already ported the plenum and ground out the wall behind the throttle body, ill let you know what differance they make later in the year.
