You have the exhaust.....what about the air intake?
Yes, plugs wires, cap, rotor, and coil all make a difference.
Dont forget about the gear in the rear of the car!!!

Open air cleaner(K&N) would give you 5-10hp.
A good tune up would be the first place to start.(pretty hard to make the car faster if the plugs and wire haven't been changed in years)

Synthetic fluids help(engine oil, tranny and rear end)

You could port your plenum(do a search, lots of articles)

Check my sig for more ideas

Don't mess with your air intake until you replace your upper crankshaft manifold.

In all seriousness Im not sure what car you have, wether it's TBI or TPI has a lot to do with it.

No, but they affect how your car utilizes the torque band.

You might consider this for some power

1 port plenum ($25 DIY)

2 port runners ($25 DIY)

3 port base ($25 DIY)

4 port heads (this one is iffy, but hell 170 cfm to 250 cfm is huge) ($75 DIY)

4.1 If you have the money get bigger valves (not sure max size on 305) ($200 Have a machine shop fit to heads)

5 cam ($450 DIY including springs)

6 roller rockers ($300 DIY)

7 airfoil ($45 Ebay DIY)

8 TB Bypass (Dont buy the kit I mean seriously I used 2 hose clamps and about 1 foot of 5/8 hose so what $1.25 for 5 hp?)

Now you could do all this in one teardown to save time, give yourself about 8 days to work on it all. And how much do you seriously spend? A grand? sounds like a lot but you can build up the parts over a few months and then do it. But as for 2-5 hp....haha this isnt the combo for 2-5 hp. This is more the combo for 100 extra hp. So $10/hp. Kinda hard to beat actually not to mention you will be stomping the snot out of all the mustangs arround.

The oil in a K&N WILL destroy the heat wire in the MAF sensor.....!!!

You take a car with a 2.73 gear and my car now with a 3.73.....lets see who gets to the from point A to point B 1st.

Most people want HP and forget about the gear in the rear end.
I only wanted to bring it up.
