tps voltage????????

i looked in the tech board and it said it should be between 0.54+/-0.075 am i reading that wrong or is that a large gap?and does that mean that anywhere in between is fine or is there a "sweet spot" to set it at?

Re: tps voltage????????

You can go as high as .56 and yes it will make the response a little crisper....but go to far and you will create a bogging issue.

Re: tps voltage????????

Well one day I was adjusting my tps switch with the motor ideling. I was going to put the voltage up around .60 volts. It just so happened that while I was adjusting it the motor seemed to idle the best at .54 volts so that is where I left it.

Re: tps voltage????????

Just a note, an article in High Performance Pontiac (Feb. 07) had an idle mischief article which included TPS voltage settings and it states that MAF cars should be set to 0.54 Vdc (0.465 - 0.615 Vdc) and Speed Density should be set to 0.71 Vdc (0.660 - 0.710 Vdc). Try getting closest to the middle values.
