All LT1's 1992 + are 350s. (The Vette got the LT1 in 1992 right?). But as far as fbodys go (1993-1997) got the LT1 which is a 350.

Yeah, I heard that a few of those LT99 engines found their way into the police business cars but not patrol cars.

Back in the 70's, the Corvette had an engine packaged called the LT1 and it was a 350 carbed.
Just like the 1970 Chevelle 454 engine's code is LS6. GM like to go back and rename old school codes to a new foundation.

The 70s LT-1 was with a hyphen, the newer LT1 is without. Same as the LS-6 and the newer LS6

Re: Are all Lt1's 350s?????
Cool Thanx for the info guys! The reason I started this thread is because I am going to buy a 1990 t/a GTA from a member of this site and he is claiming that he swapped a LT1 from a '94 t/a into the car....now I am not a LT1 know-it-all so correct me if I'm wrong but don't LT1's have intake runners? Here is the link to the post of the car which includes pics of the car...if you look at the engine you can see that there are no intake runners but like I said all corrections and opinions are welcome! The pic of the engine is the 3rd link from the top on the very 1st post! Thanx!

Re: Are all Lt1's 350s?????
Alrite! thanks for the info bro! One more question...since it is a '94 engine do I have to search for perf. parts that fit '94 t/a's only? (excuse my ignorance)!

Re: Are all Lt1's 350s?????
If your talking about cams, heads, etc......yes. If you are talking about headers, the LT1 heads are D-shaped but should have the same bolt pattern as the Year model of the car and the exhaust will be the same year model as the car. The tranny is a 4L60e if he did it with the engine.
