looking to replace the gaskets on my upper intake and manifold base on the old tpi. anyone recommend a decent place/price? thinking about swapping out this motor so i don't want to spend much but i'd hate to ruin a decent motor putting something on that will fail.

it's just a little 305.

 

I just did mine went to kragens the gasket kit was like forty dollars,come with upper and lower gaskets injector o rings throttle body gasket,

 

the felpro kit should work for you

i don't have the time to do it myself so i called around. best price i got was $160 for the gaskets and another $100+ for the labor. just wanted to see if this is fair.

it's a 305 tpi. basically needs the lower manifold removed, cleaned and a new gasket along with new upper and lowers for the runners and plenum deal.

i did a set on my l98 8 years ago but i don't remember the price and my labor was free.

 

that seems kind of high for the gaskets

you can buy the kit at autozone for about 25 bucks for the intake and upper gaskets

 

that's exactly what i thought.
