Will the Computer Pull Timing?

Is 8 degrees advances base timing enough to make the computer pull timing at upper rpms, or is that a good point for TPI? From what I have read everyone seems to like 8-10. Thanks guys.

Re: Will the Computer Pull Timing?

8 BTDC is stock for mine. So that's where I put it. If for some reason something's not right, the ECM will pull back timing.

Yeah mine is 6 stock, so I figured instead of putting it there I would go to 8 because I run premium in it anyway. I just dont want to slow the car down.
