ford racing fuel injectors any good?
has anyone purchased ford racing fuel injectors before or any other kind of aftermarket fuel injector set for your tpi engine?
which worked for you?
i'm looking to pay around 250ish.
i only want a stock replacement nothing for racing but something that will last and is reliable.
any ideas guys?

Re: ford racing fuel injectors any good?
Lots of bad news associated with the Accel injectors. Ive ran 24# SVO injectors with no problems until I had to step up to 30#ers and when I did, I bought another set of SVO's. Even though they are Ford, they work great and are reliable.

Running Green top Fords 42lbs in my Procharged RS. Before the 42's and blown we were running pink top 22's and then my buddy was running the orange top 19 svos Awesome injectors. As above I've had accel before and they took a dump on me. Who really cares if they are "ford injectors" grow up.

The Ford SVO fuel injectors are among the best made. They are Bosch units. I have the 30# on my car.

Ford Racing makes the best fuel injectors. I have been running my set for possibly 10 years now, and lately, I have been running them near static conditions (DC=100%).

Re: ford racing fuel injectors any good?
Hey guys, I just dropped a set of 24# Ford svo injectors! Seem great, but its only been a couple days! I notice that they seem to tick pretty loud though.
Anyone else notice this ?? Kinda kills me to have to put ford parts on my baby,
but you gotta do what ya gotta do!! I did have to grind the posts on the intake where the fuel rail bolts on because the ford injectors are a little shorter than the stock ones!

Re: ford racing fuel injectors any good?
All the ford SVO injectors I've used, if you look closely at the top, there is a Ford Oval on one side and a Bosch logo on the other.
I've always been told that Bosch makes them, or they are made under a Bosch patent.
I'm running used 4.6 19# in a 305. Cost less that cleaning fee on my GM injectors.

I'm a fairly recent TPI convert, formally from the Blue Oval side. I can't help but wonder why they are still called Ford Motorsport or SVO injectors? There hasn't been a FMS/Ford Motorsport/SVO company for several years.

Not that any of us here should care, but they are actually Ford Racing Performance Parts, aka FRPP, and have been for quite some time.

Anyway, my 85 L98 Corvette came stock with 24# injectors. I now run FRPP 24#ers. Lucked out and bought them locally, brand new, for $200.

Re: ford racing fuel injectors any good?
I don't remember if mine are shorter or not, but I do know I couldn't use the stupid little clips that hold them into the rails. This was actually good in my combo since the SLP runners were very close to the #7 and #2 injectors where the harness plugs into them. No worry about leaks since Ford's have been installing them in their rails without any clips since 1986.
If they were taller, you'd have a problem, but being they are shorter, you'll be fine. Just make sure you lube the injector's o-rings with motor oil before assembly.

Re: ford racing fuel injectors any good?
I have heard from members that the Ford motorsports are a good choice for the price. As for reviews about the accels and venoms they weren't soo good. Personally for the price why not try the Ford's.
