3 Codes & bad idle!!

Were the heck do I start.......
My car is throwing codes 32, 34, & 36. The car idles low when cold(have to keep my foot in it) and then when it warms up it idles to high (1500rpms).
32 is EGR, 34 is MAF, and 36 is MAF relay...I think I have them right. Anyone have a link to a list of what every code means?
I just set my TPS sensor to .54V(with my OTC 2000) and I tried to set the IAC but my car wouldn't idle that low without dying. So, right now I have it set to idle at 800 rpms when cold in park. What value can I set the IAC at with the ign. on and engine off? Can you set it that way?
So, is my MAF relay bad or my sensor?
I am missing the clip that holds the air filter housing to the MAF sensor...is that causing a problem? MAF is still seeing all the air that enters the engine?? Is something with the MAF causing the EGR code or is that messed up too? Never had any of these codes before I changed my intake about a month ago. No drivablitly problems beside the idle problems. Tell me were to start. Thanks, Nick.

Re: 3 Codes & bad idle!!

Here is a link that has code definitions...

Sorry, I'm not familiar with your motor enough to troubleshoot it. On a TPI motor, code 32 is common with a malfunctioning EGR valve or EGR solenoid.

Hope this helps.

Re: 3 Codes & bad idle!!

code 34 maf sens. low airflow indicated .check terminal c on maf sensor ; it shouldbeabout0.5 volts at idle&4.7volts at wot. tracewire from term.c& lookfor a short to ground replace maf sensor. 36- maf burn off circuit can be set due to high resistancein the burn off relay contacts or connections ,the failure of the ecm to properly ground the circuit,or a poor connectionat any of the relays, maf sensor, and ecm.hope this helps jimmy

Re: 3 Codes & bad idle!!

Ok, think I have found my culprit..........

A small air/vacuum leak coming from the egr passage on the runners. Its leaking where it meets the plenum. I think that is throwing all 3 codes. I just recently changed my intake gasket, thus I must have messed that runner gasket up a little when re-installing it.
So, I will have to throw new gaskets on the runners and see what happens.

Do you guys just put dry gaskets on or do you put a little red-ATV gasket maker on too???? I installed them dry last time.......

TIA, Nick.
