aluminum heads, will stock tpi intake work ok.

i have a question about my uncles 383 with aluminum heads, im not shure if the intake needs to be off a vette that came with aluminum heads or is the stock intake is ok to use.he is having an overheating problem when it is at an idle , the temp climbs until he gets moving again. he is thinking about running a high flow water pump to keep the coolant flowing faster at an idle. new 27x19 aluminum rad with shroud and stock irock electric fan. shroud covers 100% of rad.think thermostat is at 160. serpentine setup also.

The only two differences with the Vette tpi intake is how the egr system is plumbed, it's external, so there's just a port on the intake for it, and the other difference is the center bolts are the old angle instead of the 72 degree angle used with centerbolt heads. Other than those two things, the Camaro and Vette intakes are identical, so it's unlikely that the intake has anything to do with his overheating problem.
