Won't stay running
I have a 86 T/A with a 305 TPI, 700r4, The car was fine and then the fuel pump would not come on so I put a hot wire to the big orange wire on the fuel relay with an inline fuse and a toggle switch. It started and ran great, I took it to get gas and it wouldn't start unless I kept my foot on the gas while turning it over and when it does start it is running very rich. I replaced the fuel pump relay and the pump still won't come on with out the hot lead. The car will not idle unless I hold my foot on the pedal and keep it above 800 rpm's. With the rich smell do you think the fuel regulator is junk ? TPS ? or ECM ? I just bought this car from my buddy's sister, it sat in a unheated garage for 2 yrs and was never moved or started. Thanks
