Buying an Engine

I am looking at an 88 350 that had a TBI on it. I am wanting to buy a 350 and transfer most of my 305 TPI parts onto it. Is there going to be a difference and make it difficult to swap? or is it going to be the same as getting a TPI 350. Or am i way off and it doesnt matter if the new 350 i am going to buy is carbed . I am planning on putting a new cam, heads, manifold, and injectors in the new one. Thanks
