Converting from 87 PROM to 89 PROM ... help

I have a 1987 5.7L setup. I would like to convert to the 1989 setup for a couple of reason, the most important being the cold start injector removal.

From what I can tell from GM, they never made a 1989 prom for an F-body that DID NOT have the VATS. In 1988 they did, but in 1989 it appears they all had it.

Anyone know of a 1989 F-body or Vette that did not have Vats?

(OK I am cheap and just should get a custom prom, I know ... )

Mark,

On the main list there is a PROM burning board that I moderate. Jump over to that list. *REALLY* short - you can use '89 code but you'll have vats. To get vats delete you'll have to have a custom PROM. Not a big deal. Go to the PROM burning board and look at the article

" Programming PROMs for your thirdgen Fuel Injected F-Body: Part I Introduction "

It will be posted to the tech articles soon too.
