I just did a bunch of engine mods to my car. So far when it starts it idles fine and responds perfectly to the throttle. However after about 2 minutes it begins to go rick and begines blowing out black smoke and backfires really bad. I replaced the MAF after I got a code 33 but that didnt solve the problem. My car is an 88 GTA 5.7 and anyone with any info please help.

Have you ever replaced your o2 sensor?? it might be time!

 

I agree. Sounds like when your car is going into closed loop is when the problem is starting. Replace O2 Sensor and then see hwat happens. O2s should be replced every so often anyway.
