got a code 33 on the way home tonight
i put a napa MAF in and it lasts about a month. So know i got another maf from napa and a month later i get a code 33 tonight driving home. Crusing down the freeway it hesitates a little like someone cut the fuel for a second or two and then the ses light comes on immediately for about 8 seconds. It did this 4 times on the way home about 10 miles so i check for codes and got a 33. I'am going to clean the maf connector but i think the maf might be shot again. If i remember correctly a code 33 is MAF right.

ck the maf relays closly ...all of them.I've had new ones right out of the GM box...fail,or intermentily not work..ie bad contact adjustment..causing the problems you describe

Also check the connector at the MAF.... I know you said it's fine, but clean the contacts with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip and jeweler's file, or use some TV tuner instead of the rubbing alcohol. That connection there can get quite corroded and lead to an intermittent code 33 as you describe. The best thing you can do is replace that connector, but it's pretty pricey, about $36 at the dealer.
