Starting woes

Why is it when I jiggle some of the wires around the heater coil, and the distributor cap, does my car start right away? This is what I need to do to get my car to start. Thanks.

I changed out the cap and rotor over the summer, and just yesterday put in an Accel Supercoil. Maybe that would help. I haven't driven it enough yet to tell a difference, though. If not, would bad plugs/injectors be likely culprits?
