Mass Air Flow

I have a 5 wire MAF on my TPI now but have heard you can change over to the 3 wire Bosch MAF. I have a 1988 ECM..

The MAF can be changed to almost any type you want. All you have to do is design and construct the appropriate D/A converter, scale the output for 0-5VDC for the ECM firmware, and rewrite the ECM MAF tables accordingly. If you're into electronics and hacking/programming, it should make for a nice project.
