Whats the stock fuel pressure?

Whats the stock fuel pressure on a 87 Trans Am TPI? I have a Holley AFPR I'm installing on my 350 TPI and what to start abouve what the stock setting is. Also when setting FP the hose is disconnected and then adjusted to say 45psi and then connect hose correct?

I can't remember the stock settings, but that is the way to adjust it!

I believe the stock pressure is somewhere around 42-45 PSI. 45 PSI is a good place to start. Its all a matter of trial and error until you find the pressure that works best for your car.

stock psi is not the same for every car. it is between 42 and 47psi

According to TPIS the stock setting for a '87 ta is 37-43 psi. It was changed in '88 to 42-47 psi so there can be a good idea to raise the fuelpressure to around 45 psi.

stock setting on mine is ....37 at idle with vacuum hose connected......47 at idle with Vaccuum hose disconnected.This is with the engine warmed up and running.
