Reset ECM?
Reset ECM?
Does anyone know if you can do a 'master reset' on the ECM? Car is an 89 305TPI. I changed the IAC and there's some talk of resetting the ECM.
thanks

Steve,
Disconnect power to the ECM for about thirty seconds to clear all retained DTCs and any BLM tables that have been written. The car will run on base lookup tables in the PROM until it gets fully warmed, the integrator and BLM are enabled, and new data table can be written based on your current sensor inputs.
If you have a Theft-Loc radio, try to remove power by unplugging the ECM fuse instead of disconnecting the battery. If you disconnect the battery, disable the radio lock code first.
