My car is DYING while I'm DRIVING! I was just about to get on it and it died. I had to direct it off to the side of the road. When I got it started again (after trying to turn it over 10 times) I got like 3 miles and it died while waiting at a red light. I took several, several tries to start it then and started making funny smells and sounded like it was backfiring...like smoke was coming out my tailpipes or something. What gives? I need help!

 

your post is kinda vague, is it getting fuel or spark? Some where to begin.

What does your plugs look like??

Does it get enough/to much fuel?

 

Sounds like the ignition module to me. They're only about $50 or so and pretty easy to change if you've ever replaced the dist. cap and rotor. Might as well check them and replace or clean them up while you're there...
