has anyone raced at E-town NJ
Englishtown is OK, can't speak to the altitude but the track is in great condition and well-maintained. Tends to get clogged up with Civics and whatnot, though.
On the other hand, Island Dragway is pretty far out in the sticks in Hackettstown, NJ so it's much less crowded. Check out www.islanddragway.com for info. It's an older track, but also well maintained and run by good people.

E-town kicks A$$. I love it there. It feels like your at a freakin NFL game more than a drag strip. I was there also for the Mustang VS F-body shootout. I didn't race (car needs a clutch), but there were some nice F-bodies there. A 3rd gen white Z-28 with 18" chrome rims. A few turbo trans ams running low 12s. A couple 86/87 T/A 383s. Definitely worth the 6 hours I spent in the car getting lost on the way up. hehe
