I have a 1986 IROC-Z28 303 TBI.Okay here's the prob.I just put in a new driveline and the car still bang's really hard when I put it in gear,and I also put in a new TPS and my idle still go's up and down bad every time I start it,it seem's ok when it's in gear.Now the new one is I was driving it and it shut down on me like I had turned off the key and now it won't start, that was a long walk home.Whatever happened to the car made all my gage's freak out too i'm at a loss I don't know what to do anymore...

Okay I got it running it was a short under the dash.The idle I still need help on and the putting in gear thing.It's also running to rich which is making it smoke really bad you can smell the gas in the exhaust...Frankie

 

If your dash is screwed up your computer may be throwing a code and you not know it if your lights are not working. The check engine light may be out and you not know there is a problem. I would get that checked because if you are running in Limp Mode it will make your car run rich. Check it out and keep us informed.

I checked the code's and ther are none,and my light is working.I think i'm going to get a new computer there only $75.00.If I do get a new one do I have to get a new prom also?Oh one more thing I called to get a price on some wires an they wanted to know if I have aluminum head's, do you know the answer?Thank's for the post...Frankie
