A.I.R. delete
I was looking to maybe delete the air pump system from my car. It's and 89 formula 350 and looking to clean things up under the hood and also gain a few extra ponies. Does anyone have any suggestions on this and has anyone done this and will I need to re-burn my chip or anything? Thanks for any help at all.

Re: A.I.R. delete
Wont need to re burn a chip or anything. Pull the pump out, dont even need a delete pulley. See how the belt fits, might have to go smaller. Put pipe plugs in the exhaust manifolds where the lines used to go in and close off the line to the catalytic converter.

Its a federal offense to remove your street vehicle's emissions components, regardless of your state or local emissions regulations.

I removed mine and used a delete pulley. I had a Moates adapter made by TPIParts to disable the AIR along with a few other things.

Agreed with Matt. We did my buddies 89 GTA. Just search for a new belt size. I think he found it here on the site.

Re: A.I.R. delete
i dont believe the EGR and AIR are connected in anyway. to disable EGR tho you just gotta go into the chip and disable a few things..it was easy and my car runs just as good if not better now (Gas mileage wise)
