performance tpi rebuild,

ok before i start please no one reply with just replace it with a 350, i have another race car with a 385Fast Burn, This is just a block I have laying around and I want to have some fun just to se what #'s I can pull out of it,

Stock 305 Block
Hypernuertic Pistons
Forged Rods
1.6 Rockers
Reground Crank
Stock Cast Iron Heads
Holley Stealth Ram Plenum and Intake Manifold,
Ford 24lb Injectors
Holley Fuel Rails
Heddman Headers
Holley 58mm Throttle Body

That is what I have for it now,,,, with that being said,
Does anyone have recomendations for a camshaft and lifters to go with this setup,... it is the only thing stopping me from completing the engine....

Preferably a cam that I can install and leave in once I install the vortec supercharger.... might not be for a few months, want to get it back in the car and running before the charger is added.

Re: performance tpi rebuild,

a good afpr, like the grand national one, Kirban makes/or has one (i need one)

I would go in the 210-220's duration at 50 zone. I went with a cc 306 by comp (350), I would go 1 or 2 sizes smaller on a 305. Mine sounds mean, and idles great at 650-700 in gear. I am going turbo. anything on a 112 or 14 center helps alot with the overlap.

if you don't have the cubes, boost is just as good....

OHHHH PORT THOSE HEADS, do a search on those heads/ ported, will make alot more possible

Re: performance tpi rebuild,

that would be fine (afpr), or the kirban one mounts the same as the Holley one does, no special fittings and a little cheaper way of going.

Cam wise, that one looks good to me... see what the other fast 305's are running cam wise.... I don't recommend useing one with anymore lift then this one or you will be really wasting money in stubs, getting the guides down.... a real waste in these heads...
