Car will not stay idel AGAIN, should I replace my IAC?
Ok, goes like this. I did the paper clip adjustment for the IAC and my car started back up and ran fine. 2 days later (today) I go out in the morning to start her up, 5am snowing and very very cold. Again, same symptoms, and the paper clip adjustment in the A and B terminal does not work. Could my IAC just be totaly shot? Why would the cold do this? What could this be? In warm weather, she never has problems like this.
Thanks!

Maybe you should clean out the carbon in the IAC motor's passageway? Gumout makes a "throttle body and intake cleaner for fuel injected engines", sold by the carb cleaner. (You shouldn't use carb cleaner in a fuel injected motor). Remove the IAC, and spray the cleaner into the hole.. it should dribble carbon out through the throttle body.
If you want to clean the IAC's pintle with the spray, do so with the pintle pointing down, and the connector/motor end of the IAC up. This is because any cleaner that gets inside the motor will ruin it! If you hold the pintle downward and spray it, gravity pulls the cleaner down and keeps your motor safe.

So, what you are saying is remove the IAC (the small black thing with three inlets and a lever thing on the back) and spray the whole thing real good with "gunk" cleaner and install it and she should work?
I will try it and let you know. If not, then I should just replace it, right?
Now the IAC is the small black thing attached to the passanger side of the TB, with three inlets and a lever on the back?
Just making sure.

No, that is the TPS (throttle position sensor). The IAC (idle air control) is on the bottom of the throttle body with 4 wires going to it.

Ooops! Thanks, now I know. But, it is the TPS that is fu@king up on me. I removed it and cleaned it up and now she runs again??? I can't figure it out, one min she is running and the next she is not.
Anyway, thanks!
